Lest be the judge...

While watching "The View" today, I witnessed an atrocity. Something, that most of us are guilty of, as we quickly judge others harshly and it comes as natural as breathing. It was stated by Barbara Walters, that Glen Beck said, "President Obama was a racist..." he went on to say, "that President Obama has a deep seated hatred toward White people." Initially I was stunned by such an adamant comment, but then it quickly hit me that this happens more often than not.

I'm perplexed by this, what is it about this incessant behavior of ours? Why is it so important to have someone "pegged"? To pigeon hole someone into such a one-dimensional category speaks volumes about our own depth. From my own experiences, I've learned that most human beings are pretty layered and beyond 3-d and, that we obtain an abundance of feelings, emotions, ideals, hopes, wishes, dreams, personal lies/demons, inaccuracies and truths. We allow life and our stories taint and tarnish us from our true selves and others, regardless of how self-righteous, spiritual/religious, in tuned and involved as we would have others believe. As I've said before, it is imperative to our own personal journey, life and health to become AWARE of who YOU are. And, when I say YOU, I mean the God in you, less the dressings and layers.

Our personal opinions and positions are nothing more than our own personal judgements, which, many times we often forget to challenge. Our own insecurities are often revealed while passing judgements on others, yet, we forget that if another is aware of the "language", then the flaws have become immediately apparent to those that can "see" you. Maybe, if we take a millisecond to think about that, then maybe we wouldn't be so quick to add our "two-cents" to the seemingly, enormous peanut gallery.

Truly coming to terms with and loving thyself is the key to leading a much, less judgmental life. When you're loving you, you have a lot less time to concern yourself with the flaws and insecurities of others.

Live simply, so others can simply live,

Namaste...
