Time flies when you're having fun!

All, I can say that life is a remarkable journey. The almost inept direction that it at times move, is equally perplexing as it is fascinating. August 15, 2010 has marked a year that I've relocated to Chicago; and in that short amount of time, I've accomplished quite a bit. As, I approach 3 weeks until school is over, I've become extremely reflective. Twelve months worth of events have reeled through my mind and I beam with profound joy.

I'm so grateful to all of those that stood beside me (as many were only brought into my life for a season, which I'm grateful for them during their intended time), as I trampled through this plot of turbulence, but my journey nonetheless.

In, 2 weeks I'll be taking my national certification exam and will pass on the first attempt. From there, I will build upon my very solid foundation and branch out and do more of the things that I was created to do.

God, bless the child that has it's own...

Where did this break-down occur? When did we become so proud? And, who said that was the "way" we are supposed to live? I'm guilty of this....as well as all those that I know on a personal basis; some are far worst than others, but nonetheless, they are all the somewhat guilty of presenting this type of behavior.

I'm talking about what happened to being able to receive and accept genuine assistance from another....being able to set our false pride aside and receive the authenticity of God. Songs, have been created about it, woman banter about this daily, to one another and to men, vehemently. I've even overheard conversations (and have had a few myself) with women stating, "he doesn't like me because I'm too "Independent"...but, what does that really mean? And, who are you hurting, by being too independent? I, wonder if any of these women and/or people, go home and really think about that statement and be truthful and honest with themselves.

God, didn't create us to be islands or independent of one another...that is doing the complete opposite of natural intent....that's just something to chew on and sit with for a while.

I'm in a rather, quiet place, emotionally and spiritually. The universe has spoken and my ears are open wide, listening intently and with purpose. It's a rather peaceful place to be, simply being still...
